Solve hard problems with us.

We are recruiting a fully funded, 3-year postdoctoral position to participate in the ambitious, multinational progam, Wellcome Leap Multi-Channel Psych Program. Our lab is the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Team co-leading the Modeling and Model Integration Thrust Area of this program.

Along with Vanderbilt Engineering and the Institute for Software Integrated Systems led by Professor Janos Szitspanovits and Co-PIs Professor Sandeep Neema and Professor Xenofon Koutsos, our team has the rare opportunity to develop end-to-end modeling architecture to improve treatment for anhedonic depression. Working with a dozen internationally-renowned labs around the world, we are developing informatics solutions to synergize modeling research using clinical, multi-omic, imaging, and behavioral data collected on diverse cohorts with depression.

The Walsh Lab includes cross-cutting and point-of-care focused research across a number of other high impact project areas from real-time suicide prediction to inform decision support for prevention, scalable phenotyping with the PsycheMERGE Consortium, and more.

Qualifications:
– Kindness, commitment to joining a friendly and respectful lab
culture with diverse learners of all backgrounds
– Experience with healthcare data
– Python and/or R experience
– Interest in and track record in applied predictive modeling
