We are excited to announce a new two year project supported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Sentinel Innovation Center to develop natural language processing (NLP) for electronic health record text related to suicidal ideation and behavior.
For this work, we partner with NLP experts Dr. Adi Bejan of Vanderbilt and Dr. David Carrell of Kaiser Permanente Washington. We are lucky to also be joined by co-investigators Dr. Kevin Johnson, Dr. Michael Matheny, Dr. Daniel Fabbri, and Dr. Cindy Chen as well as many other colleagues at Vanderbilt, the FDA, and Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Pilgrim Health Care.
